WHOA!! 2018 just FLEW by like astronomically fast. There are things I would pause if I could….and there are a few things I would….still fast forward through. But, 2018 was a year of a few victories, some defeats, a lot of growth, and plenty of education.

Lately I’ve been listening to Jenna Kutcher’s “Goal Digger” podcast, taking some great online courses in business, photography, and editing. My days are filled with me working, getting educated, communicating with clients, working out, cooking, coffee, Jim and Bohde, and very little sleep.

I do all of this as an effort to better serve you. I know I still have a long way to go, and I’ve got a great plan in place to make myself a better entrepreneur and business owner. But, I understand there is a lot that goes into it, and I am one person who’s juggling quite a bit. I’m pretty grateful there is a tremendous learning curve with this, But I want to always give my clients the very best service; It can be tough, especially in the growth stage. But I am grateful for any opportunity to grow.

I do learn quite a bit from all of my clients. Everyone’s experience is a little different, simply because every bride is different. Everyones expectations are a little different.

That being said, I am wanting to nurture these relationships and really set these expectations. It’s literally the BEST way for me to serve you the very BEST way I can. Much like a good cup of coffee, I want to cultivate this connection, nurture and grow our relationship, so our ideas and expectations can blend into something alive, colorful, and energetic.

I’m also wanting to be a true resource to brides looking for fantastic vendors, who are looking for insight on wedding planning, and other photographers who are just starting out. It’s all because I know this is the most important stage of your life. These moments where you’re about to take tremendous leaps and make a HUGE change…..I’m thrilled to be there for it in any way I can.

So I’m starting to connect with more awesome vendors in the Austin area. I already have a pretty wonderful network of other entrepreneurs, but, much like this business, I want my network to expand like crazy. I’m wanting to start featuring some of my friends and fellow business owners on here not only so I can TOTALLY pick their brain, but so they have an opportunity to share how they can serve you as well. Brides of Austin and ILEA have been a great help with getting me connected with new people…and as my participation in the Junior League grows, as will this network.

I mean, some on, a fantastic group of ladies who love serving all kinds of goodness around Austin, what more could I ask for?

This year I was met with some pretty intense moments and some great challenges. I could easily say my biggest challenges were my two last minute bookings, or my first-ever West Coast wedding, or my first time in years having a 2 wedding, 3 engagement shoot weekend. But….none of that will be true.

My BIGGEST challenge this past year was finding my voice. And I mean REALLY finding my voice. Every person I know will laugh at my next statement: I’m actually pretty reserved. I can seriously hear the laughter. I have always been the oddball out, always had a little weird in me…. I’m goofy, loud, have the sense of humor of a 14 year old boy. But I’m also driven, and focused (more laughter), creative, colorful, and SO passionate about this. And I have been for years.

Finding my voice also meant finding CCPhotoFactory’s voice. An authentic voice, dedicated to connecting with brides to give them genuine photos.

I’m SO excited about connecting with my new clients over coffee and really committing my time to their special day. I’m looking forward to hearing all the unique stories, talking them through their awesome day, making plans and setting expectations.

But more than anything I am excited for the PHOTOS I’ll get to create with my clients. This is all for the PHOTOS! These amazing works of art that will be treasured for life. It makes me beam with SO much joy seeing our art showcased in anniversary posts, it means our connection really created something magical.

I can’t wait to share it all with you this year!

I have 19 weddings on my calendar this year….and I have a goal of 30….this means I can only take 11 more for 2019.
